basically, they didn't bashed us and i was pretty impressed...

I thought they were going to talk about how we didn't treat him well and balbalblabla instead wilbon said culpepper was maybe talking crap !

He said that he agreed and asked to be hurried to the field and then was whinning because he was put on the bench because of injury and poor play... and now he's saying we rushed him...

but basically wilbon thought we did the right thing last season and that culpepper might've played a little comedy this offseason and drawing pity from media and fans....

Then they talked about the fact that he wasn't even able to compete against 37 year old trent, Dan Lebatard asked wilbon which of the two he prefered, and he answered both are tremendous Qbs and that it wasn't really important to have both compete

nothing real important but thought i'd share with you, wilbon didn't bash us and man I was surprised !

I think thats pretty objective reporting then. After he refused to be traded, it was hard for me to support Daunte at all. I fully understand he wanted to go to a new team when he realized he wasn't going to be competing for the starting job, but that's when you should be demanding a trade, not blocking being traded. His parting words and Ghandi quote were rather insulting as well.

Bringing him in was a risk and it didn't pan out. I was glad when we fisrt got him and am now glad he's gone.

I'm ready to let this mess die and be burried. I'm sure DC will hook up with some team this year, but I highly doubt he'll ever be a great QB again. What I'm really looking forward to is seeing how Beck develops. There is possibility in that young man.

Dont underestimate him, if he arrives in the right situation he could be a probowler again. Look at Brees last year.

:sidelol:

It was proven most unwise to compare Daunte to Brees, just ask Saban....

There is NO comparison between those two. On the field or off the field...

Here comes a repeat of 07 for Daunte. He gets benched in Atlanta becuase he sux, and Joey comes in and plays the rest of the season.

I think Daunte's teams have won more playoff games ... at least the same maybe?

Brees was good before he got hurt, C-Pep was not. He was playing horrible before the injury. If (and it's a huge if) he ever gets his mobility back and find a team with another Randy Moss that he can drop back, not read the D, and just heave the ball...he will be fine. Daunte will never be a pocket QB, he can't read D's fast enough.
