Pujols on HGH? A Banned Substance

Albert Pujols personal trainer is on the list on the affadavit. I'm not sure how reliable the source is, but it's interesting.

Grimsley says that a former employee of [redacted] and personal fitness trainer to several Major League Baseball players once referred him to an amphetamine source.. Later, this source provided him with “amphetamines, anabolic steroids and human growth hormone.†This trainer? His name is Chris Mihlfeld, a Kansas City-based “strength and conditioning guru.†(And former Strength And Conditioning Coordinator for the Royals.) If you read the document, it doesn’t say the trainer/Mihlfeld supplied all the HGH and what-not; it just says the trainer was the referrer. Mihlfeld.

Does Mihlfeld’s name sound familiar? If it doesn’t, he  and we assure you, this gives us no pleasure to write this  has been Albert Pujols’ personal trainer since before Pujols was drafted by the Cardinals in the 13th round of the 1999 draft. We have no confirmation that Pujols’ name is in the affidavit … but Mihlfeld’s is.

You can't discount that or any player for that matter. Until the MLB has better testing policies everyone could be on them. It's too bad and sucks for the players who are clean.

I agree 100%. I'm a Pujols fan and as much as I want to defend the guy or any other guy I can't. There's no way to ever know.

The good thing is the MLB is now forced to clean up the game for real.

your right, its worse...

who cares what i called it? :rolleyes2

Yup, it is worse....but since its not banned by MLB....I thought you were breaking news and stating that ol' Albert was busted for Steriods which at present is worse from MLB standpoint.

Sorry if I came on strong about misleading....but I thought it was a breaking news story about MLB and Steriods would produce automatic suspension vs. HGH at present.

Thats all.....

Question mark aside...it would be a breaking story but not confirmed as posted....kind of like an accusation or indictment without final jury verdict. Meaning, you heard Pujols had failed a Steriod Test and posted with ??? to inform and seek confirmation.

Back to MLB.....I apologize but I thought HGH wasnt tested or banned by MLB. I thought that was what all the issues with HGH is, that MLB, NFL, etc still do not test or ban it...like uppers or greenies.

I must be wrong, but I thought only recently have they discussed this issue but no resolution unlike Steriod testing and punishment was established.

Ok, ok, didnt think it was banned or tested for....but I will defer to you and Nappy if indeed HGH is banned by MLB. Does it have the same punishment terms as Steriods?

this is where you were correct, there is no testing currently. so no punishment terms. in the collective bargining agreement, it was all agreed to have no blood testing, which is currently the only way to test for HGH. There is talk that the Grimsley case might force this testing though, which would be great for the game.

Gotcha....are uppers banned but not tested for either?

Yes, it is long overdue and necessary.....it is GREAT for the game!
