Put Fiedler in Dave, be a coach for once!

I'm for continuing the AJ experiment for at least 2-4 more games because I want to see what we spent our draft picks on. I would like to take this chance to suggest that all of the Fiedler critics suck on these losses as the bitter fruit of their hatred, though.

Bitter fruit? Look Fielder was taking us nowhere. Feeley quite probably won't either. That second round pick and contract looks like a bad deal right now. Maybe Feeley could make a decent #2 QB? Something for what we put into him?

Wanny, his staff, Rick, most of the OL, and Feidler need to be gone at the end of the year, if not sooner. Then we can rebuild under a new coach, but with some good moves we could have a real OL and maybe QB.

Sad that it will take a losing season like this to get rid of Wanny though. Very painful way to improve the team.

When Fiedler played I atleast took the game seriously, now it's like I'm watching a comedy or a satire of a football team and I laugh. I don't even know if I wanted them to win that game if it meant having to watch the same offensive personnel all season. They have to give Wannstedt atleast the authority to decide who QBs his team. If it was up to him Feeley never would've come in against Tennessee and we all know he would've said screw the boo-birds I'm punting.

Why exactly does Fiedler need to be gone? He is the one who is the prototypical backup (short on physical talent but otherwise good). He is also the one who might stand a chance in hell of mentoring a new guy. He does have coaching experience, after all.

Most of the OL does not need to be gone. Wanny and his staff need to pack their bags, and I really hope that we get the symbolic midyear firing of DW to kick that off.

As to the bitter fruit thing, I stand by it. I have seen nothing from AJ so far that suggests this team would be worse off with Jay under center. Why did the team feel the pressure to bring AJ in? I submit that it was in large part due to fans. If I'm right about that, it really makes me think less of Rick...

These types of posts are incomprehensible in my opinion. I am assuming that you "took" Jay's side in the great AJ v. Jay debate. Well I say bravo to you. "Our" team is terrible yet you feel the need to further chastise those fans who simply asked for a change at the quarterback position. Not all people who sought a different QB hated Jay, many just thought he wasn't very good. Many thought we should start the QB we gave up the second round pick for. Many knew that Jay was, in fact, serviceable; yet yearned for more. Not you, I see you are a man of the utmost loyalty and certainly those who had a differing opinion now deserve your selfless barbs. So fittingly, I want to commend you for your stance behind Jay "The Legend" Fiedler. All those Dolphins fans who ever doubted his prowess should now suffer the utter humiliation of failing to back him. :couch:

I suggest you work on your reading comprehension, my friend. I said "hate", not "sided with AJ". I understand wanting more out of the QB position. I don't understand the Jay hostility.

I have had similar feelings about Jay. He is a physically limited QB who ideally should be a backup. That doesn't justify the venom that I think led the team down the "gotta get somebody" path that resulted in AJ.

yada yada yada

I'll save responding point by point to the rest. I think it's clear you misunderstood what I wrote.

I believe you used the terminology "all of the Fiedler critics." Wow, seems to be an all-encompassing subject to me. I would venture that someone could comprehend what you have written as labeling all Fiedler critics as "Fiedler haters." So maybe you need to work on your reading comprehension "friend."

What does critic mean?

1. One who forms and expresses judgments of the merits, faults, value, or truth of a matter.
2. One who specializes especially professionally in the evaluation and appreciation of literary or artistic works: a film critic; a dance critic.
3. One who tends to make harsh or carping judgments; a faultfinder.

Which one of the three meshes with the word HATRED? #3. It is in exactly that sense I used the word. I suggest you back way off, buddy.

No, I suggest that you used the phrase inapproapriately and should have thought about what you were writing if you were going to take offense. Your subject was "all Fiedler critics," not those who hate Fiedler. Sorry guy.

Listen...I have shown you the definition of the word "critic" that is clearly applicable. I have explained this to you. What more do you want? I'm deeply sorry that you are incapable of understanding that words have more than one meaning.
