Put Murtha at RT, bench Martin

And i thought if you put a middle school kid at RT we would be better -___-

He looks exhausted and very weak. He doesn't look like an NFL linemen right now. He's only a rookie though, but I have my concerns.

Martin had 20 reps at 225 at his pro day
while Chris Hogan had 28 reps at his pro day

Looks like Martin didn't spend much time in the weight room

Never liked the Martin pick and hated the Egnew pick!

MARTIN was "owned" tonight, and he is NOT at all ready. But some of you are giving up on him much too quickly. MARTIN needs some 1) experience, 2) coaching-up, and 3) a love affair w/the Weights Room. Remember what a big, weak butterball SOLIAI was when he first got here? HE got coaching, especially from one Mr. J FERGUSON, and he got some experience. And if you recall, he hit the Weights Room w/a vengeance! Would any of you care to walk up to him, and call him a "butterball" today? (If so, as an Attorney, I would advise you to do 2 things first: (a) load up on life insurance; and (b) be sure to execute your Last Will And Teastment)

Way too early to even THINK of giving up on MARTIN. Not all prospects "arrive" on Day One, or even Year One for that matter.

So the right side of the Oline is still a complete mess. Thanks Ireland, but hey columbo and carey are available!

Martin seems to block a lot better when Andrew Luck is behind him.

Im starting to think we won 5 too many meaningless games last season and then still drafted Martin in the 2nd round. He would be blocking much better.

You should never expect too much from a rookie T, but damn Martin was awful.

I thought Murtha was just as bad. Dude is built like a pro. He's got everything you want physically in a tackle, a Jake Long clone. But he flat out sucks.

Murtha sucks too. Atleast Martin has upside.

I am shocked at how bad Martin has been in the first two games. He has given up penalty after penalty and he seems to be getting beaten on every play, especially by speed rushers. His foot work just does not seem up to the NFL standard. Now maybe he just needs time to adapt to the NFL, but he is going to get whichever QBs starts killed if he does not wake up.

Didn't Jerry do ok a tackle when called upon last year? He's too fat, we gt it but if he's still better than what we have he needs to be out there.

I still like the Martin pick and like his upside. He just needs time to learn and get stronger. He's still adjusting to playing RT. Many people think it's easy to flop sides but it's really not. You have to learn to kick step with the opposite foot, so your balance is off and your movement is slowed. Plus, your hands are flopped....and since most guys don't have equal strength in both arms/hands, it takes time to adjust.

It's MUCH easier to switch guard positions b/c the defenders are usually heads up on you. The only real difference at guard is pulling.

Murtha looked horrible last night as well.... For that matter, Hicks at RG looked like a turnstile. I was having visions of columbo...
