No reason to risk anything further by coming back too soon. He needs to dedicate himself to getting in great shape and learning the playbook like the back of his hand.

That way when September of next year rolls around he is raring to go with a team that his contribution to will actually benefit.

His contribution this year may make the difference between 6 or 7 wins that is it.

Judgement call. Let the team doctors make the call, and tell them only if hes 90-100% ready to go.

Keep him rehabbing until they have to make a final decision. There is no reason not to. It isn't as if he could 'concentrate' any harder on IR than on PUP. It isn't like we're delaying some kind of surgery by keeping him on PUP. You don't know if a guy wiill surprise you until you give it a chance, but I believe they are operating with the appropriate spepticis.

Shirdonya Mitchell, on the other hand, could actually contribute this season.
