(On how much he credits Chad Pennington's presence in the huddle) - "He's our leader and he brings a lot of poise. He comes in there, there's no panic in the huddle. He just tells us to execute, play like we've been playing. His demeanor is real calm. That helps out the whole offense. If the quarterback would've come in and you can sense or see panic, the whole offense might panic. He's been in those situations before, we've been in those situations before and his calm demeanor helps us all out.

(On why he thinks the receivers have come together as a group the way they have) - "That's part of it. You try to ignore what the media says about you, but at some point the criticism gets back to you. We knew that we were considered a weak link on this team and we had the talent, we just didn't have the big names or the experience that a lot of NFL teams have. We knew that we had to stick together as a group, show the league, show the team, show our coaches what we were capable of. Chad Pennington did a great job of working with us to get us to where we need to be. We're still not there, still have some work to do, hopefully we'll show soon."

On the attitude of the players when a coach decides to go for it on fourth down) - "That's huge. The O-line played incredibly well the whole game. They controlled the line of scrimmage. All we needed was six inches, a foot maybe and we have confidence in the big guys if we need that, we'll just get right behind them. They did a great job of pushing forward."

right on the money. This is what separates a good QB from a great QB. You can have all the talent in the world but if you don't have the poise, the calmness, then you can't use your talent in full potential. Just look at Jay Cutler's and Chad's performance in the last game. Both QBs were struggling but the one who was more poised came up on the top.

I am quickly becoming Camarillo 's bigest fan. by the way what number is he ?

well..... all that "calm" and "poise" and sweety pie talk
is all good, but......

if you cant read an nfl defense and you cant make the big
throw that wins games, all the zen crap means NOTHING!

why is pennington so good? why has he meant so much to
this team this year? one play defines it all.

in the denver game, that last throw to ricky williams on 3rd
down with 2 all out denver blitzers in his grill, he throws
that pass, falling backwards, to a well covered ricky and
COMPLETES THE PASS!!!!

this is what seperates the penny's from the feeblers.

jay or any of the other clowns who have been paraded through
miami over the last 10 years could have NEVER made that throw!

yes, its good to have those calming qualities in the huddle, and
penny has those for sure! but he can also make the big play when
needed under pressure and thats what has made him such a
great addition.
