Honest Q 'cause Ive had to watch at sports bars w no audio, but I just watched the thread here "Every Tanehill Dropback..."
and noticed NINETEEN PASSES IN A ROW we went on " Readddyyyyyy Hut!" with exact same timing and cadence.

The first two was "Omaha Hut!" and there were a few more "Readddyyyyyy Hut!" and a few that were inaudible.

Cant imagine why so rote- are we more concerned with not having our own OL jump so we dumb it down?

I would think better to risk that than give DL the jump every play. Help out our OL and slow down the rush and also maybe draw a few free plays here and there.

I dont get it!

Pretty sure that Gase has them on a base count to eliminate/reduce the pre snap infractions.

Even last weekend when RT tried to draw Oakland offsides to get an easy first down, we false started ourselves.

that indeed may be the answer- our OL dont have that discipline so we forego one advantage to limit the bad. kind of a shame if so.

While I agree that our OL may be playing on a dumbed down snap count, in my experience you don’t deviate the snap count a ton expect for a few situations in a game. I mean my experience is from high school so it is probably as dumbed down as it gets.

Pros should be able to remember a snap count though

Without the context of how all the other QB's in the league vary their snap count, this is meaningless. If we are getting that nit-picky about our QB, things must be going well. Even when they are winning people will find something to complain about.

gimme a break if you think this is a thread to nitpick or complain.

why dont you sit out this thread while the rest of us discuss some ACTUAL FOOTBALL TALK?

your comments add absolutely no value.

EDIT: actually your first sentence was a good and valid point (except that i was asking a question if anyone knew) and I'd be very curious.

the remainder of your comments was trash though if you actually read my whole post. thanks.

I'll take a dumb down snap count with wins and less penalties than some trickery and a whole bunch of 1st and 15s.

Well sure, but would you take wins and less penalties coupled with a few free first downs or first and 5s or free plays thrown in?

I would, and I'd be surprised if at some point Gase doesn't start raising that bar.

I agree with 1 dol fan, above, that a great majorityof snaps should be on same count (THATS what makes the altered snap count successful). Seems like 1 or 2 outta 10 though would be about right.

Im going to pay a little more attention when watching other teams and try to get a feel for the "norm".

yup and i agree, but right now i'm pretty happy with the lack of penalties and the wins

When he tried a fancy snap count to confuse the D our own OL jumped offside....
