QB Against Jets

AJ should start, if only because we need to know what we have in him. Jay is a known quantity and will make a hell of a backup if the team chooses to go that way next year. Knowing whether or not we need another new guy at QB next year is worth the difference in wins...

Lets merge the two to create AJ Feebler.

We should rotate the O-lineman thru as QB maybe after getting knocked on the keysters every play they would start blocking.

Feeley all the way. Let him get his growing pains cause every qb does. Look at Palmer he is going through some growing pains and the Bengals is sticking with him. Feeley will grow into a great QB. It might take a little while but he will smooth into there.

I dont know honestly, I will support either. I think AJ still can be the guy l/t, but it is alot to ask an ineperienced qb to be playing with 8 other guys that are new to teh offense and have not gelled yet. Jay is at least experienced, so he may be able to handle the confusion on offense better at this juncture. On the other hand, AJ can only get experience by playing and the only way to know what he can do is to play him. But I think sitting may be beneficial, ala Hasselback when he was replaced by Dilfer. He got some experience but then he was able to sit back and learn. I do believ teh o-line will be better as the season goes on. Who knows, I dont believe the results would be greatly diff with either until the o-line and run game comes along.

Oh and my comments in other threads merely were in response to those that said AJ is a bust already. 2 and 1/2 games in hardly enough to judge.

Good post, but I'd like to add that Hasselback has Mike Holmgren teaching him, that's a huge difference than the rookie Offensive Corrdinator that other than his color runs plays just like Kippy Brown.

In short Wannstedt screwed us all by not going after an offensive guru to try and open up our offense after Norv left. Trestman should be the guy running it and calling the plays RIGHT NOW.

God, there's way too many problems with this team....you think Shula will come in and finish up the season for us after Wanny and Rick get the boot? :D

I wonder about how this decision to keep Feely as starter was arrived at. I have seen very little if anything to show that he gives the Dolphins the best chance to win now. Conventional wisdom has it that Wannstedt will most likely lose his job barring an unlikely turnaround( an opinion that I am not convinced about, by the way), and therefore would see little benefit for simply playing Feely for development purposes. My question is whether Wannstedt really believes Feely will help him this year or perhaps the decision is being mandated from above him; by the owner. Another possibility is that Wannstedt was assured by the owner that his job is safe for the duration of his contract and he was instructed by Huzienga to run the team with the idea that he will be around for at least the length of his contract.

Opinions?

How exactly do you get a "b" out of Feeley and Fiedler???

Anyways...Fiedler should start. A.J. hasnt done anything at the QB position and isnt going to do anything accept what he has been doing. Throwing INT's. You can talk all you want about the running back and the O-Line but the fact of the matter is that the QB is that one that throws the INT. I havent seen a O-Lineman throw an INT once this year for the fins.

The quarterback is like the pitcher in baseball he gets the wins and he gets the loss. You can check any other position and they wont have their win-loss record. So far this year its been shown Feeley is a LOSER.

Leave AJ in cause within a week or two he will be knocked out for the season and then all the talk can stop! ThenJAy will be in and we can atleast finish above the cardinals!Come on Jets -hit him and hit him good until he starts throwing to our guys, scrambles or gets knocked out! I hate watching him stand in there!AJ can't throw on the run either so just stand in ther AJ -show us all how TOUGH you are!
