And he still wont start. I wondered if they would rework his deal then try to trade him.
I will give him a little credit. Poor kid got thrown into the starting roll way too early, on a very terrible team, and no protection up front. Add in the fact he has had so many different offensive coordinators and head coaches.. I think if he were to go somewhere and sit behind someone a year or two, a stable coaching staff, he could be decent.

He wasn't bad under Norv Turner..once Turner left though, so did Smith's confidence and/or ability to effectively run an offense. After he got that shoulder injury, I thought he was done with SF for sure. Apparently, I was wrong.
