Right now the Fins have John Beck and McCown on the roster who will probably be the only QB's to make it through training camp. Who becomes the third?

God do I hope its a later round pick nothing with in the 1st or 2nd and I hope the Fins do not waste the first overall pick on a QB. I know Ryan is good and will play in the NFL I just see it being a waste when there are clearly other things to address.

I know he has been getting dogged lately, but Woodson is a guy I think will end up being a solid quarterback for someone. I'd take him over McCown right now!

According to Miami Dolphins.com we have four QBs on the roster with Casey Bramlet and Matt Baker being the other two. They probably wont be there after training camp but as of right now we have 4 QBs.

it doesn't fail to amaze me how many fans are so careless about the "most important" position on the team? how in the world and why in the world does anyone want to settle for 2nd tier talent at the games most telling position and take care of less important positions? beats the heck out of me.

Matt Ryan for #1 pick! C'mon BP, stop playing around man.

Suggestion:

Pick Matt Ryan at #1. Then use the #32 pick and say JT to move back up into the 1st round for a LT. Then use the #57 pick on a LG.

They think we are set with Beck and have convinced themselves that Ryan is only rated so highly because its a weak QB class and he dosent deserve to be the top pick. They also think that the analysts have lost their minds on Ryan but, those same analysts were dead on last year when they praised Beck.

Ryan is rated in the top 5 by basically everyone who analyses players for a living and #1 overall by a good bit of them. Its not a just a "hype-machine". The guy gets those ratings by scouts and analysts for a reason.....he earned them with his play. Seriously, what motive would these guys have for rating him so highly if he didnt deserve to be there?

I agree that Andre Woodson will be a solid quaterback. He would be worth a 3rd or 4th pick and would end up being 3rd string

They are still inexplicably in love with Mueller's mistake.

I actually would like to see them draft Flacco in the 2nd round. That guy has a strong arm.

the last two superbowls were won by two quaterbacks picked #1 overall, so maybe its not such bad idea to pick up on that.....since we've been doing a lot of patch up quaterbacking since dan left....It is a risk...but any pick at #1 is....and i dont want to be the team that passed up on the next eli or peyton.....not that ryan is...but he might be....

its scary how people actually want matt ryan with the number 1 pick... smh

you people need to watch college football rather than just read about it and make assumptions...

I watched Ryan in a few games this year and he just didn't impress me that much. He didn't look any better than what we have in Beck and I agree with those people who say that he's just rated very high in a weak QB draft. I'm not sure though how people can be so confident in Beck after his performance last year in the games he played in. I do understand that he was playing without a starting RB and so on, but I also remember the game that Beck got yanked in and Cleo came on and let the team right down the field for a score.

That said I think that Beck may very well end up being the starting QB because he does have the talent, and now a little experience. He did show improvment in the game against the Bengals in the last game of the season.

I agree with us trying to pick up Flacco in the 2nd or 3rd round if possible. The guy has a huge arm and has shown good accuracy. He's the big prototypical QB, he may very well have success in the NFL without costing us an arm and a leg. You figure if we sign Ryan at #1 its going to cost us a lot more than if we sign a LT or DE at #1. For the risk that your taking with Ryan not being as good as advertised I'm not sure I like that idea.

Again this has turned into a Matt Ryan post, I was asking for your opinions other than early round QB's.

But while we are on the topic: Please fill me in to why you think he will be good on the Dolphins I want your opinions not some B.S that Mike Mayock and other "gurus" have blown up the fans butts.
And then tell me why it is smart to draft a QB #1 when you have another QB on the team you drafted # 2. And do not base Beck on last years performance he had not team around him, rate Ryan and Beck on an equal field.

if you think that beck is the future then there is no nees to draft a qb in round 2 - use that pick for a bigger need and pick up a qb a few rounds later. if you think beck cant cut it you gotta take a qb early!
