Although Miami did pick up Daunte Culpepper he isnt going to be a long term answer for Miami. Right now he is a big Question mark, he hasnt played football for a whole season in a long time, he hasnt played good in a long time, he has been injured with a bad injury that could end his career. we all have lost count of how many QB's Miami has went through since Dan Marino left. Miami has never really had a good chance at drafting a QB except Drew Brees in 2001 and I guess you could say that could have drafted Aaron Rodgers in 2004 but I was glad they didnt.
Miami has no choice this year but to draft a top 10 QB in this years draft. Looks like Russel may be the 1st QB taken in this years draft. Just like last year when everyone thought Matt Leinart was surely going to be the 1st QB taken and then Vince Young stole the spot light in the National Championship. I can assure you that Jamarcus Russel difinitaly stole the spot light last night in the sugar bowl game.
This years class of QB's could be just as good if not better than last years! that is if Russel and Brohm both declare, and yes I think they both will.
Jamarcus Russel is a lot better passer than Vince Young ever was. Brady Quinn is a more polished QB that Matt leinart, and Brian Brohm would be the "Jay Cutler" of this years draft. Brady Quinn reminds me of Tom Brady, Jamarcus Russel reminds me of Daunte Culpepper (as everyone says) and Brian Brohm reminds me of....Peyton Manning, yes I did say Peyton Manning. Brohm may not have all the TD passes but he know how to lead a team down feild and score and he has the yards to prove it averaging over 278 yards per a game. better than Brady Quinn and Jamarcus Russel. Brohm has only 4 INTs on the whole season, thats less than Russel and Quinn. Brohm also has never thrown more than 1 INT in a game. He rarely makes mistakes just like Peyton Manning. he has similar size to Manning, and he stands in the pocket and bounces looking for the open man just like Peyton Manning does.
I see Jamarcus Russel going to Oakland and then detroit without missing a beat drafts Brady Quinn. Brian Brohm is a guy Miami could get very easily, I would like to see him here I think its time Miami should get a franshise QB and groom him for a year or 2 like Carson Palmer or Philip Rivers.
