..I dont want a rookie QB we have to wait for to develop...by then are WR's will be on the NFL old side...our defensive core(JT-Zach-Madison) will be gone..yes hopefully by then ronnie will sign!!!

..I dont wanna draft a guy-pay him millions and hope in 2 years he is good..to many QB's DONT pan out....

..So my question is....who are the free agents coming into 2006??? If anyone knows please let me know...We all know who we'd like to trade for(Bree's-River's etc) but who are the FA's??

trade for Volek if Mcnair can stay healthy all season. He can go downfiled w/ Linehan's system.

Thats about all he can do.

BTW You have a nice beard.

KFFL has a list of free agents for future seasons but i'm not a subscriber

He is under contract for 2006, but Aaron Brooks carries a big salary next year and could be released depending on his play.

If we pass on the QB (if there is an opportunity to get one) then we will continue doing what we've done since Marino retired. Reality is that QBs are hard to find. About 50% succeed from the first rd. It's something less than 5% for all the other rds combined. And when teams have good QBs they rarely let them go so getting one in FA is even less likely. Ther's risk no matter what option you choose. It just makes sense to choose the option with the greatest reward/risk ratio.

..maybe true but all in all it's a crappy spot to be in!!! I hate drafting and investing SO much into 1 player..guess thats football.

You guys are crazy. Aren't you tired yet of journeymen quarterbacks?? I don't want to see Volek or Brooks or any other mediocre quarterback brought in. I say we go with a rook, or trade for Rivers.

How will our wide recievers be on the old side. 27 27 and 29?

I'm pretty confident Saban will look to draft a QB of the future next year. Not to say that he will see immediate PT, because I get the sense Saban is a bit more impatient than people give him credit for. I could definitely see us picking up a QB like Brooks. But obviously, im still pulling for Frerotte or Feeley to pan out because that will make it a whole lot easier for us to develop a QB through the draft without having to sign a high priced FA.

I am a firm A.J. Feeley supporter....

That being said if his play does'nt improve I think (depending on Drew Brees' play this year) we offer up whatever it takes to get Rivers or Brees...whichever one the Chargers want to get rid of.

sweriosly bro i was till last night i was at the game and it seem to me that all he wanted to do is throw it to the sideline...i WAS on the A.J banwagon but im leaning more to what saban thinks is fine with me
