who will be qb in 06 brees isnt leaving sd rivers is a un proven rookie so who do we get for next year

phillip rivers.

as far as the unproven rook thing, what rookie qb available in next years draft is proven more than rivers?

rivers has been in a successful nfl system for two years..he has had to have (uh..yea) learned something..

plus, he was pretty successful in college, and i predict that will continue in the nfl.

as always :) ;) imo.

the sad truth is if Linehan stays...it wont be rivers...he just doesnt have the cannon that Scottie is looking for but then again...besides Linehart....who does in the draft?

Rivers..Linehan may not be back and if he is he will have to adjust.

do you think farve could be a factor? i know it may sound silly, but gb sucks, and he might need out. we are a farve away. at times it seems so.

just puttin it out there.

A possiblity might be Drew Olsen from UCLA. He probably can be had in round 3, is used to to throwing to a deep threat tight end(Mercedez Lewis is very similar to McMichael) and has directed many comeback wins this year for UCLA.

never happened

yo bro, we need a starter.

i've had enough "project type" hopefuls.

if we draft one. it has to be early, and he has to gain the trust of the coaching staff early.

its true, whomever we draft wont have an immediate impact :( like ruthlestburglur had, so i guess all draftees would classify as a "project".

so please take this opporunity to disregard this entire post.

my apoligies to all who had the misfortune of reading these transcripts.

He's a good choice but we'd still need an immediate starter.

Linehart doesnt have the greatest arm either

rivers will never do anything in the NFL

i'll take leinart or schaub. we'd have to trade some picks for either one, though. no one else looks inviting at all. but we NEED A QUARTERBACK, period. i have no problem trading picks for leinart, and if that doesn't work, schaub is a damn good consolation prize

As long as we get a good player and not force a pick then I'm happy.

I have no problem trading picks or some players for Leinart but not Schaub. I'm not a fan of trading picks for backup QBs.

rather take Leinart right now. i saw that video someone posted of rivers bowl game, for one, that throwing motion is very damn ugly. worse then Youngs. second, all the passes/touchdowns were to WIDE open WRs. none were in good coverage to say[ he can get the ball on the right spot. so nothign to make me say this guy is good.

he's a backup to vick, not to frerotte. if a team that needed a QB had drafted him he'd be starting. simple as that. the falcons knew vick isn't the healthiest guy in the world, so they needed a guy who could be more than a backup. schaub is that guy
