qb index

"Ryan Tannehill: He's played two-and-a-half great games since Joe Philbin publicly toyed with Matt Moore as the potential starter in Miami. (No, Philbin doesn't deserve any credit. And Tannehill's ugly first half against Green Bay is hard to forget.)"

Thank you.

A think a large part of the problem for some is that if the QB is not hall of fame potential, they want nothing to do with him.

I'd be hard pressed to recall ever seeing a qb play as well as the state farm guy has so far this year. Like ever

He had 3 seconds. That's all day in the NFL. Last year he rarely had 3 seconds

He has HoF potential. Yeah, I said it. **** you, fight me.

He's unreal. Does not throw interceptions. Period.

Looks like they are giving much of the credit to the OL and the running game. Glad he is moving up but gotta push that ball further down the field cause you know they are going to start covering the short stuff better.

To be fair, when they start covering the short stuff better, stuff down the field should open up some. I think Ryan running more is going to help in that regards as well. One more thing at the LOS that the defense has to account for.

I wish they would have actually continued the list from 13-32. But take the list with the grain of salt. I highly doubt Greg Rosenthal played football past being a "minimum play" kid in Pop Warner where they put you in at WR and run opposite side of you for 7 plays

I would probably place Tannehill ~19 or 20. Which is right where I had him going into the season. He regressed some and I moved him down a little but since the Oakland game he's back to where he was preseason. The only problem is I think he stays in that 17-20 range his entire career.

Wow Tony Romo at #5........... :idk:

It's more of them asking him to do less than him playing better. I've never thought he's as bad as some people make him out to be, but #5???? I'd place him ~10-12. And Brees and Brady at #10 and #11 is a joke as well.

He would have got rid of in 2.8 seconds if he didn't have the habit of tapping the ball before throwing it. Take a look at the video again right before he throws it to Wallace. These are coaching issues which I think Philbin could point out. Perhaps he does point out problems but from his record, I don't know what Philbin does. Perhaps it's Sherman, Ireland and Zack Taylor who are responsible for the teams sub par 3 year record. I don't know but I think it's T'hill.

We suffered a tough loss similar to the Carolina loss last year similar to the GB loss, then We ripped off a 3 game win streak against Pittsburgh, Jets and NE then the team had nothing left in the tank with the bagle-19 at Buffalo and 1 TD against the Jets. 21 pts a game in the last two games LY and we'd been 10-6.

The habit of tapping it is actually pretty useful. Tom Brady has become a hall of fame QB because of tapping the ball before throwing it. You saw the same with Nick Foles last year.

Defenders are taught that the tap happens right before the throw and they will go where the QB looks at that very moment... You can figure out the rest ;-)

Peyton Manning's first 3 years in the NFL

2000 Indianapolis Colts 16 16 357 571 62.5 4,413 7.7 33 15 20 131 94.7 37 116 3.1 1 5 2
1999 Indianapolis Colts 16 16 331 533 62.1 4,135 7.8 26 15 14 116 90.7 35 73 2.1 2 6 3
1998 Indianapolis Colts 16 16 326 575 56.7 3,739 6.5 26 28 22 109 71.2 15 62 4.1 0 3 1

My view is that Ryan Tannehill has been at least 1 season behind the typical first round drafted QB in experience. Definitely looking for that 90 QBR for this season though. I think it remains to be seen whether or not he will ultimately be HOF quality.
