Rookie quarterback Omar Jacobs, who starred at Atlantic Community High, was one of three players who worked out Saturday for the Dolphins.

Jacobs had failed to stick as a 2006 fifth-round draft choice by Pittsburgh.

Jacobs could be signed to the Dolphins' practice squad, as Daunte Culpepper didn't participate in last week's sessions because of what coach Nick Saban described as "soreness" in the quarterback's surgically repaired right knee.

You've got to wonder if Daunte is already not participating in practice what the future holds for him. He's complaining that he's sore and cant practice I wonder how long it is before he starts complaining about not playing again.

It will be interesting to see how this pans out.

what are you talking about? how do you correlate the two?

I just get the feeling he doesnt want to practice because he's not the starter, and uses the "sore" thing as an excuse which I see eventually leading to him not wanting to be here at all if he's not starting. I dont know I am just speculating but I really think this thing is going to start getting ugly pretty soon.

Do you have any basis for this hypothesis or are you just guessing? If you are guessing, what makes you believe that? Is it possible that his knee is sore? Does he have a history of faking injury? I guess I'm just confused as to how you came up with this theory when there is not proof, history, rumors or rumblings. I don't spend a lot of time searching for news so if there is players talking about Dante and his bad attitude or his hurting the team because he is mad he isn't the starter, I might have missed it. What is the basis for your opinion?

Take him as a project. That guy's completion % led the NCAA. Awkward throwing motion (sidearm) hurt him. He's a tall player with a TON of potential.

I rather we draft Troy Smith. Most people think he isnt a first round pick. I hope their right cause I want him in Miami.

I would not want him to turn into a Rodney Peete or Akili Smith. Any QB is a risk though so its hard to say who will succeed in the NFL.
