This guy has all the tools and is also extremely athletic. The only knock on him is lack of competition he has played against. He was untouchable in his league though, 43 TDs and 1 INT thats eye popping and he rushed for 700 yards on top of that. He played in the same division as Joe Flacco but is getting no love. this guy could really be something

I said in another post that if we look as QB in this draft (other than Ryan - who I think will be traded to Atlanta)...it will be later on AFTER we have drafted as many starters as well can. I think Johnson in the fourth or fifth makes sense....I don't think we would be thinking Flacco - he is a project as well and will be drafted too high - not worth the pick. I'd rather have Johnson anyways...

JJohnson would be a terrific late round selection. With the rushing ability he adds another dimension. Not much of a PROJECT with him.

But if you're looking for a real project QB with physical attributes and upside...its Xavier Lee. Definately a second day/free agent signee because he made a big mistake coming out early this year after his questionable on and off field activities as Florida State.

Think like Parcells...Josh Johnson isn't his type of QB.

02/26/08 Draft Scout Fallers: Josh Johnson, QB, San Diego: While Flacco gets the majority of the attention paid to small school quarterbacks, there was a contingent of scouts who argued San Diego's Josh Johnson was the better prospect of the two. Johnson, a spectacular all-around athlete, entered the Combine on a roll, having finished a senior season in which he led all of college football with 4,040 total offensive yards and broke the NCAA record for passing efficiency (176.7). At the Combine, however, Johnson struggled with his mechanics, throwing a wobbly ball that, despite great zip, sailed erratically. Johnson has the tools to work with, but the impressive showing he needed to guarantee selection within the top three rounds did not happen at the Combine. - Rob Rang, NFLDraftScout.com

You have got to be kidding! I would vomit if we wasted a pick on Lee.:shakeno:
