I am new first of all so I hope I'm doing this right, if not I apologize.

I have been looking at the options for future QB's with the Phins and moving up costs too much and I don't like the trade Ricky idea.

Aaron Rodgers is a solid QB should have went first last year, obviously, and has had a year to ferment behind Favre.

Trade for him, he has a Rookie contract that's tradable not like Carr and has a long future in the league.

Just my opinion, love to hear some others.

That's not a horrible idea. The only thing we all know that Brett Favre hasn't helped the kid at all and also he doesn't have that much time left.

So how interested are they in moving him?

What has Aaron done to show that he should have went 1st last year?

I do not want Rodgers, he is the same mold as Feeley and Harrington.

I don't think the packers will trade Aaron, he's the future in Greenbay. An option is Josh McCown, Drew Brees or draft a QB.

That's what I said four weeks ago. I'm all for it. Would love to see Rodgers in a Fin jersey. He's the real deal.

Is Drew Brees and option???

He's a free agent, IMO he's a very good QB and he's young.

I agree, I just figure that SD will do what it takes to resign him

Welcome to FINHEAVEN the place where Dolphin fans come to be berated by other Dolphin fans!

I am not a big fan of Tedford QB's, but I hope The "Nicktator" upgrades from Gus.

I think your idea is sound and that if Rodgers were in this draft, he'd be considered the 3rd or 4th best QB IMO...I disagree that he is in the mold of Harrington and Feely. He was not the slinger they were in college and relied equally on his mental as well a physical skills. I doubt GB would part with him without demanding a King's ransom.

What is your basis for this comment? I've seen 5 GB games and been to one this year and saw those two conversing often on the sidelines.

Would you have said the same thing about Matt Hasselback?

I think Rodgers is going to be a very good QB in this league and the 49ers, along with several other teams, will regret passing on him.

With that said, there's virtually 0% chance of Miami trading for him this year because:
1. Green Bay won't let him go with Favre having at most one season left, unless Leinart, Young or Cutler is there at #5 and they think one of those guys is a significant upgrade over Rodgers (which I don't agree with, but some might).
2. It's obvious from last year's draft that Saban doesn't think Rodgers is the answer to the phins QB problems. If he thought he was then he would've drafted him at #2 last year. You don't pass up on a guy who you think is the solution to your QB position, no matter how good the RB is. I doubt anything over the past 9 months has changed Saban's opinion of Rodgers.

It's a well known fact that Brett doesn't take a strong role in mentoring young QB's. Does that make Rodgers a bad QB? Of coarse not, but I do beleive he's learning more by watching than by being taught. I beleive that hurts him.

I'd give up a 4th for him maybe a 3rd.:cooldude:
