QB Ryan Fitzpatrick in the minority in regards to the CBA.......

I doubt he's in the minority at all. It will pass because it financially benefits the majority earning the league mimum over the elite.

I don't think it's a good idea for your qb to make public comments about issues that could devide the team. You don't want to go into a season with half of your offense upset with your qb over a labor issue. It would be great if it didn't impact things, but sometimes off the field issues like this can bleed over to on the field relationships.

While I agree with Fitz and the “No” vote doesn’t seem to have a great argument against the CBA, I have to think of the source.

Everyone has a hand they are trying to play, a work stoppage probably ends Fitzpatrick’s career so he is inclined to vote for nearly anything in order to get paid.

relaxed marijuana policy? does that open the door for jordan love at 5?

It won't divide the team. The CBA will give most of them a pay raise.

The only ones speaking out against the CBA are the top 10% NFL elite who get no benefit from it. Since Miami doesn't really have any of those players, I'd say that there's no risk of a division on this team.

The owners? Absolutely agree.

Yes I think that’s what lots of guys forget when complaining about sports players salaries. The owners are billionaires and the players are the attraction. They deserve their piece of the pie like it or not. Would people just rather the owners be trillionaires (made up word)?

It's the greatest trick the league have played, somehow painting players as greedy mercs whilst billionaire arseholes fleece players and fans and wring every lasty cent that they can out of the game. Players get abused for wanting more money while owners get called 'Mr' and revered by the fanbases for exploiting the game at every available opportunity.

The new CBA is suppose to be better for those players who are retired or will retire with 3 or more years in the league. So Fitzpatrick is more concerned with his retirement benefits in the CBA than he is with how it benefits the players who will be in the league now and in the future. He is already signed for the 2020 season and that is likely the last season he will be playing in the league since he considered retiring after last season and only decided to come back after Gailey was hired as the OC.

guys make so much money and still want more. Bleh.
As the saying goes, you are worth whatever your boss is willing to pay you. While I think doctors, teachers, scientists, and many other occupations should make far more than individuals who play a child’s game for a living, that just isn’t the way things work. So I don’t let how much players are paid bother me in the least. It is what it is.
