QB search impact on other FA's

Did all the attention the FO place on finding a QB cause us too draw focus away from signing players like Mawae who signed with the titans? or was there less interest in Mawae than people had assumed?

also not a new poster, used to post under the name Upstatenyfinfan or upstatefinfan, forgot what i used to post as because i was always more of a reader.
