I would stay away from Culpepper. If Brees can't play at all this year, I stay away from him too. I would be interested in taking a look at McKown. I would draft a QB in the second round (unless Cutler falls to us in the 1st). Keep Gus to start for this year and groom our future QB.

I know, I know, I wouldn't be thrilled on having Gus start this year, but if C-pep and Brees are injured goods and can't start for us this season, what's the point?

I certainly don't want to give up draft picks. I guess we will just keep playing the waiting game.

Agree? Disagree? Give me your thoughts. :dolphins:

Brees is more doable obviously. Thats why we are waiting on him. Culpepper can now be had for cheap IMO and it may be worth it to get him and sit him for a while and get gus back for cheap as well and get them reunited. Otherwise, I say wait for the possibility that young or Cutler can fall to us. Kind of think Minny and Arizona may be looking QB now though. Once again, we fall into traps.

If brees goes to NO I will not lose sleep. I never let myself get all worked up at FA cus then you become too attached to it all. If Brees goes to NO, then god bless them. And then watch the draft.

Culpepper is bigger stronger faster, will be game ready sooner, knows the system, never had "the drive" to return to pro bowl caliber form, never been coupled w/ the offensive talent / great defense and outstanding coaching that the Phins posses.

Culpepper isn't going to be cheap...thats why Minny dropped him...He is less likely to be 100% until at least midseason. The knock on Drew is that even before his injury he had a relatively weak arm...Which way do we go ?? Depends on what Dr. Andrews had to say about Brees I would guess. I have a problem with either...Ramsey (Unless he signed with the Jests already) or McCown would be good alternatives...after that Brooks is available. Saban won't take the risk that someone falls to him...he's too calculating a GM...he'll have a starter before the draft. Who that starter is will depend on where we draft a QB...Gus won't be here next season...Saban has "been there, done that"....
