QB Starter News from Greg Bedard

I don't know that there is going to be any sort of announcement this week, but I do think Nick is at least heavily leaning Gus.

Not surprised at all. Gus is clearly better suited to lead this team. Feeley just isn't starter material. Neither is Gus really, but he is the better option. The good thing is, this more than likely means we'll go after a top-notch QB during the next off-season. For that matter, IF AJ is happened to be named the starter, I think we'll still be going after a better QB in the off-season.

that dont really tell us much. could go either way.

actually when i started reading it id have to agree with it, but then i thought about it, you have to think into it a little bit, i think it told us alot, good read i think it will happen

1 major thing that I really noticed after watching the Jags game about Gus......he moves around in the pocket EXTREMELY WELL. I always thought of Frerotte being a statue ala Bledsoe, but after watching these games, that is definitely not the case. He knows how to sidestep, and he actually throws accurately on the move.

He's not a threat to run, but he also doesnt just stand there and get blasted.

Would you?

Frerotte doesn't seem to have a problem with it.

David Carr didn't seem to have a problem with it in Houston after he got sacked a bazillion times his rookie season.

It's called mental toughness, fellas.
Forget yesterday, work on today and look to the future.

Frerotte hasn't been injured because of the lines pathetic play yet. Should that happen, I believe that his "confidence" in the o-line might slip a little.

injuries happen. I think the not having faith in the offensive line is the biggest difference between the two.

Yep, they happen alot more to someone if their playing behing our o-line, however.

the o-line isn't looking too bad so far this year. Quarterback's have had good time to throw the ball and good passing lanes. He had an entire summer to get over his lack of trust.
