Kevin Kolb
QB, Houston
War Room analysis
Arm strength: Has a strong arm but didn't have many chances to show it in Houston's short-passing offense. Makes all the throws, and puts great zip on downfield passes. When rolling out, makes deep throws on a rope. Grade: 8.0
Accuracy/delivery: Is surprisingly accurate on short passes and intermediate-to-deep routes. When feet are set and strides into throws, puts passes of any length on the money. Grade: 8.0
Field vision: Sees the field on almost every play. When trying to find an open receiver on one side of the field, can come back and make a throw to a backside receiver without hesitation. Grade: 8.0
Running ability: Is a good athlete with experience as a runner, both to avoid the rush and to scramble out of the pocket. Often buys time and makes plays because of feet. Grade: 6.5
Intangibles: Carried Houston's offense, consistently showing the leadership and toughness to win games his team had no business winning. Has something special that causes teammates to rally around him and play at a higher level. Grade: 8.0
Bottom line: Kolb was a frustrating prospect for much of his college career before showing improved decision-making skills as a senior and drastically improving his NFL stock. Kolb must adjust to a more traditional pro-style offense, but he can become a great NFL starter who can make big plays with his cannon arm and nimble feet.
With everyone talking about Stanton, which if u ever watched him play a lot, u might not even want him in the 3rd round let alone the 2nd. I think Kolb would be the better pick. He has all the physical attributes that u look for in a QB biggest knock on this guys seems to be that he played in a short pass Off. But other then that he is physicly there. I think he would be the best for a 2nd round QB, if there some people say he very well may go in the first if he impresses during the combine or private workouts.
