Everybody who is young and has done well at any point does not automatically have potential. This is not how you find a QB. I keep seeing posts saying we know what x player (usually Gus, sometimes AJ) can do so we should play y player (AJ, Sage, Couch, whoever). This is one of the dumbest arguments I have ever heard. You don't need a year or 2 under pristine conditions to evaluate a QB. A skilled analyst can evaluate based on films and practice. This theory that everybody who wasn't good enough to start somewhere else has potential until we see play in our system for some predetermined number of games is ridiculous.
