According to Greg Cote's article in the Herald, the Phins are interested in Lienhart (if he's on the board selection time), Brady Quinn, Vince Young, and Jay Cutler. These are not surprises as these names have been passed around on this site all season. However, many may be surprise to know that the Phins are not interested in Rivers because of his athleticism and arm strength (at least according to the article). Also, in the last ESPN Mag, I saw that the Jets were staying away from Rivers because they were weary of his arm strength and didn't want another Pennington (rubber arm) on their roster. Any thoughts on who will be wearing a Phins jersey come next year?

There is no question of River's arm Strength. He throws a frozen rope when he needs to. I watched him play all four years in college. We will regret not trading for him if we pass on him. Mark my words!

Theres a thread on this already, but thanks anyway. I'd like Brady Quinn better than anyone else on that list though.

I like Jay Cutler, he has NFL type arm strengh and accuracy and he also is pretty mobile for a big guy. He is said to compare to Favre in arm strengh, mobility and toughness. However I would take Brady Quinn over him if Quinn came out but he's not so I go with Cutler.

BTW unless Vince Young either wins the Heisman or wins a title this year than he won't be coming out this year

Maybe the Dolphins, and Jets for that matter, are trying to get the price down on Rivers. Just another thought. Of all the others mentioned, Cutler's the only one who probably isn't a top 10 guy as of right now. I wonder if Miami would trade down for Cutler and get more picks if the others are off the board.

I think you hit this on the head. We're trying to lower the price on Rivers here.

i dono about the price but im sure the trade down for a cutler is a possiblity if the others are off the board and even if not off the board they may still do it. Dont look for a rivers here b/c his down teh field accuracy is HORRIBLe and thas what dropped Rodger's stock in the combine.

Too bad, I really wanted us to get Rivers. Atleast we are actually going for a QB this year.

Why is nobody talking about Omar Jacobs? HELLO!! Omar Jacobs or bust!

I can gairentee the QB of our future we won't know or have any clue who we are going to take until draft day. Unless some miracle trade happens before then.. which i doubt.

The way saban runs his show , he is going to tell the press and herald that he is thinking about drafting ever QB..... its all smoke and mirrors with Saban. I cant wait to see how he plays our QB situation

I don't want Young!

I second that! Horrible throwing motion, worse than Rivers.

I will officially link myself to the Jay Cutler bandwagon.

I'm on the Jay "Veal" Cutler bandwagon.. All Aboard.....Choo Choo.
