A once great franchise reduced to bottom feeders since 2002 smh

When you finally see past the mirage of “mediocrity” after all of these years, you see what this team actually is and has been. One of the worst teams in football, two decades running.

Man I hope we land our coach. The next 20 years won’t be as bad...right??

Sad indeed. Mistakes by the FO(with different people in charge) year after year has led to all of this.

Exactly. All this talk of “well this team isn’t awful, it’s just mediocre” is loser talk. Finishing 7-9/8-8 and no playoffs is just as bad as finishing with 3 or 4 wins a year if the team never gets any better. And this team never gets any better, except for the occasional year when they’ll win enough to be some actually good team’s whipping boy in the playoffs. Then it’s back to no playoffs and no change, year after year.

This team is where the Lions were in the 90s, with championships 40 plus years in the past and a first-round loss in the playoffs as a ceiling. Except even the 90s Lions occasionally made some noise.

The NFL needs to look long and hard at that...That much dominance is not good for anyone.

Parity? I think not

Cheating helps. Partially rigged games via "officiating bias" helps. Powder puffery scheduling helps. Etc.

The league has it's OBVIOUS favorites and they also know "parity" is a token word not to be taken literally.
