There has been no elite QB since Marino BUT isn't it also true that Marino's play suffered after the Departure of Webb at LT? I hear a lot of "experts" say these are the most crucial 2 positions and I am inclined to agree. DC appears to be plan A at QB for the next 4-5-6 seasons. That's why I think if this team is to build now for future success, we need to trade up and secure Thomas with our 1st pick. They will continue to tinker with the roster at every other position but let's put the first things first for a change and since they have the QB they plan to go with for a while, get an elite LT out of this year's draft!

LT definitely needs to be addressed. But I really don't think we have enough ammo right now to move up. Unless someone is traded or future picks are involved, which I'm against both for the moment, I doubt there's any way we'll end up with Joe Thomas.
