Reason why is cause you can't cut top paid guy to get in on Free Agency. If you do. You'll save 4M, But by waiting after Free Agency you'll save 17M. If you notice. There's always good vets getting cut at that time to sign rookies.

I agree. Suh is playing at a high level. The whole situation wouldn’t be so ugly if not for the Kiko and Branch contracts.

the advantage is doing after June 1. We could essentially get their replacements via the draft and FA. Cutting them would be a formality. Now cutting them before FA is dumb, because less savings and and the factor of unknown
