Alright, im a lil confused as to what is going on. As you all know by now these rumors are spreading that he could miss the entire season due to his injury... How does DC's injury compare to Carson Palmers injury? Carson got whacked in the knee in the PLAYOFFS and people are saying hes going to ready by week1 and yet culpepper injured his knee in what the middle of the season? I just dont see how it adds up unless his injury is so severe that it would take 8-9months to heal... to me it all sounds like bs, but id like to hear some responses to try and clarify the matter

People who are saying he is going to be out for the season are speculators and rumor mongers. If Pep says he will be ready that is good enough for me.

yes i understand that, but even ESPN is reporting it now and they are usually a good source on news

Did Palmer blow out his ACL, MCL AND PCL??

When Palmer got rolled over they said initially it could be a career ender...they don't know...I think only the person who has been injured knows how he feels.

what exactly was culpeppers injury? was it worse than carsons?

I know Culpepper tore all three ligaments but no details were ever reported on the severity of the tears. Carson's surgeon publicly stated (Bengals front office was P.Oed!!) that his injury was career threatening due to the severity of the tears.

Hi, guys I am a doctor...and I want you guys to breathe deeply first. I have perfomed about 70-85 procedures of this type. Although there are many factors and a pretty big recovery time....(really depends on age, nature of the injury and rehabilitative efforts).....my main recommendation is to delay contact sports for as long as possible until there is suffcient strength in the knee to resist any kind of significant trauma ( with supportive brace). It would be ideal in this case to allow TIME for proper healing. If time is an issue, then he could be back as soon as the 2-3rd game of the year. Common sense tells us that with time comes better healing and eventually STRENGTH. Don't fret about this. I think Willis Macghee's injury as well as his position in sports ( running back) placed him at triple the risk of further/future injury. Therefore, forget the rumors and forget all the misinformation you read...unless it has been CONFIRMED by Dr. james Andrews the only ONE that knows exactly how he is progressing.

Culpepper tore 3 ligaments, Palmer tore 2 however Palmer dislocated his knee and damaged cartilage and tissue around the knee cap, he may not start the season himself.

A dislocated knee and cartilage problems severely compromise further what appeared to be just a knee ligament tear.
