Does he line up at both right end and left end or just one or the other? is one side more prevalent than the other?

He's a RE by design but has been known to go on the left side against left-handed QB's (He had a late sack against Vick last season that comes to mind.)
However, now he's a linebacker.

Genrally you put your best end on the right side to matchup with the left tackle. But this year you will be seeing Taylor drop into a line backer spot a lot in the 3-4.

Under Wannstedt he lined up at both sides, generally at RDE more often then not but he would get switched, especially vs. teams like the Ravens who had one great pass protector and one weak pass protector in Jon Ogden and Orlando Brown.

Under Saban, Jason Taylor generally lines up on the offenses weak side. For example, if the offense lines up in an I-formation alignment, Jason Taylor will line up on the side without the TE. There are other determinations, but that's the easiest one. So usually he ends up lining up vs. the LT, but it depends.

RDE is his listed position, but both under the end of the Wannstadt era and last year under Saban, Taylor was moved around a bit to create better match-ups and also to put both he and D Bowens into the game at the same time.

Even though he will play more LB this year I don't see him dropping off much in coverage, he did a little last year and did it very well, but he will still be doing his great outside rush. Why take away his strength?

I'd like to see him do a lil bit of everything....its definitely going to confuse the opposing offense.

Saban will have JT lining up in so many places the opposing defensice coordinator's will be pulling their hair out trying to figure it out. More linebacker now in the 3-4.
