I am considering if possible to come to a Dolphins game this year for the first time, which would be really great. I havent been to Miami yet. The question I wanted to ask is not about where to go etc., I'm sure I can find all that out once I'm there. What I would like to ask is for those of you who have been there or are from there, what is the city like in terms of friendliness of the people and other aspects of the City. Are the people friendly towards visitors, I have a feeling they would be because so many people go there on vacation, but I'm wondering in general what the people are like. I'm sure at the stadium on game day once you're a Fins fan it doesent matter where you're from. I would think also that since Miami is a City with lots of diversity, people would be used to people from different places and would be welcoming. I'm a friendly guy and make friends every where I go, but of course some places are friendlier than others. Also are there any other things I should know about the City, if I do make the trip from Toronto I'm thinking of coming for about 4-5 days. I appreciate any responses.

As far as people being friendly or not, well....for the most part yes but just stay off I-95 during rush hour traffic. Also you might want to compare some prices on hotels and airfare for Ft. Lauderdale. Miami is 20 minutes South of Ft. Lauderdale so you can actually experience both cities while your here. And you being from Canada, you'll love it down here in the month of December. Soooo.... I'm going to go ahead and pick the game I want you to join us for. The game is Dec. 10 vs. New England. See you there.

I wouldnt worry about people being friendly, usually the friendly ones are the ones ya gotta watch out for:p

Game day wont be a hassle, just park in the lot and tailgate with the rest of us:)

I would recommend not staying near the stadium, its in a crappy (no offense to anyone that lives there:p) part of town.

I'm from lauderdale, I'd recommend staying anywhere from weston to boca. Not sure if you want to be near the beach or not, but you can find tons of places to stay.

If you chose to stay in miami I'd recommend spending a few extra bucks and getting a nice hotel to stay in. It would probably take you alot more time to get to the stadium from miami than up north because the traffic really is that bad. Also, miami can turn shady pretty damn fast if you make a wrong turn, so keep that in mind.

You are better off staying in hollywood at the Hard Rock. The rooms aren't too expensive and the people are much nicer than in Miami. Also, they have a shuttle that takes you to Dolphin Stadium.

are you a good driver? the reason i ask is becaue most canadians down here, well, they arent. so make sure you take driving lessons and we will be very nice to you. dont mean to be a jerk but i drive for a living and its just something ive noticed.
