I am not sure which forum this goes but if nesecary you can move it and i apologize.

I was visiting the broncos and packer sites and i notice two things . one ,is the packer fans dont rip their players like morency who hasnt lit the world on fire but he works very hard and came to camp with 15 pound gain in shear muscle . next they are giving him a chance to learn . next is denver fans were not completely dissatisfied with tatum bell who is a good back and will get better.

now come dolphin fans when a player has a real bad year due to a incompetent o.c. and a lack of oline and bad qb play dolphin fans seem to want to trash these players . is the morale of the fan base that low that fans are bashing other fans and all but yet green bay and denver have had some disapointment lately too. i am just wondering and i too am very guilty of being negative and critisizing of players too and i am trying to change my attitude even though i seem to have failed at changing my outlook but these questions have been going through my mind.

my hope is to see dolphin fans behave a little more civilized and prove thes media idiots that dolphin fans are good fans.
i am also sorry that i have been trying too hard to get you all to like me when i should be who i am and not try to be a comedian.

I think it has more to do with the disappointment we have seen over the past 5 years +. Its easier to point the finger then to keep pulling for the same BS over and over. I am hoping Cameron will change all that and turn this franchise back around.

It also has to do with how passionate fins fans are. Everyone including myself tends to think we are on the team so it hurts to see so much promise year in and year out get wasted by the coachs, GMs and even players as well. It has to be hard to go out every week and give it your best when the plan of action will not give you the result you put in it. Most people on this site bleed aqua and orange.

I agree it would be so nice to see more positive posts. It almost ruins my day to see all the negativity, which I myself post as well. i am excited about this year. i liked how the draft turned out (even though I was in favor of Quinn) but after watching and reading all about Beck and Ginn I think we had a great draft. We filled alot of needs and have a coach that will be able to utilze our players to the best of their abilities. It looks like we have a coach that seems like this is his family not just a job. That includes his coaches, Gm, owner, and mostly us, the FANS. Go Fins!!!!!

nice post...totally agree :D

I hear you

I think we as dolfin fans all share a strange psycosis where we were so used to one player carrying and defining our team and our super bowl hopes, even though that ultimately failed, that now we are perpetually stuck with a hope that a new anointed one will come.

Whenever a highly touted player doesn't do that, I think it really just reminds us of how we have been failing for so long. What we need is a team more that anything that can do well as a team to rid ourselves of the one great player and we are back syndrome. Marino couldn't do it, JT cant do it.

It seems to be what we are doing, getting as many young fast talented players as we can. Instead of going for a big name "Quinn" that might give the franchise a false hope.

i agree but my question is why the broncos are happy with tatum bell when he is a lion?

Fans are fans, and every fan has their opinion. I don't think it varies from team to team. You will see bashing and you will see praising whereever you go. Thats life. Not to mention, I have seen many posts from people here speaking about letting the younger players learn and grow with this new offensive system Cam is installing.

So being a good fan means never criticizing your team? Just b/c you crticize a player or coach doesn't mean you don't support them. Fnas criticize b/c they want their players and coaches to be great. They are all big boys and can handle criticism but of they can't they should fnd a new line of work.

Agreed. With disappointment comes negativity. It's a fact of life. Unfortunately, we've had a string of Bad luck. Wannstedt, Ricky Saga, No true QB, the most injured team a couple of years ago, etc. However, we as fans are the same as any other fans. When things are going good we're in our glory & when the losses are piling up we're miserable. Still we have to look at the big picture & why we like the fins. How good our teams been over the years, the Dan era, etc. I too TRULY believe that this year will be a big year for us, if they iron out this QB issue. And I don't just believe it because I'm a homer & think my teams the best (every year), I believe it because I'm a true fan & like the changes so far.

I'm guessing there are harsh fans on every team site. I try to stay positive even when I disagree with a team move or think a player is underachieving. Others don't even try to stay positive, they just let her rip. I've never seen the productivity in trashing your own team. You can state a disagreement or objection without being an obnoxious jerk who talks like they know it all but in reality have little wisdom about the issue.
