Question about the Final Widcard Spot.

Im wacthing the Cowboys game and they keep mentioning that if the Ravens win the Patriots are in. Well what about the Phins. Dont we have the edge over the Pats.

I am confused by this too. Lets say Ravens lose last 2 games, pats lose 1 more game. We lose 1 of our games, do we end up getting that final spot?

I believe pats have to lose to Bills and we have to lose to Chiefs than we are in

If Baltimore does lose tonight, if you are Miami . . . u actually WANT the Jets to win, because that would almost guarantee the 8:15 start time (Dolphins win also). Good thing about that is, we would then know the results of the Pats and Ravens games before we play the Jets.

The only way for us to get that final wildcard spot is that we HAVE to have a better record than the Ravens (because if we have the same record, they get the spot because they beat us this year). If we win the final two games, we automatically win the division (which is the easy way). So the only way we can have a better record than the Ravens is for them to lose out (they'll be 9-7) and for us to win only one of the next two games (we'll be 10-6).

Now, we have to worry about the Jets and the Pats. There are tons of different situations that can happen here to tie-break. Someone want to break those down?
