Question about the Gus fumble TD play

If you watch the play the Defensive Lineman run a stunt and a Buc comes free up the middle. What is interesting is RW is standing in the middle of the play and fails to block anyone, much less the DE running toward/by him.

My intial thoughts are:
1) RW missed picking this guy up in the blocking scheme
2) We may have been trying to throw a screen to RW so that is why he didnt block

Anyone have thoughts or ideas on this?

I thought RW missed the block. Pass blocking has never been one of his strengths.

He missed the block. The running back should always pick up the block first then go out for the pass underneath. If RB was in there on that particular play Gus might have had a better cahnce at throwing the ball.

Yup Wicky basically gave the Bucs a sack and then a TD. If Ronnie was in there he would have destroyed the blitz like he did in the Bills game a week earlier.

This was the main reason I was hesitant for Ronnie to lose snaps as the starter to Wicky. Ronnie even though he is a rookie he is a much better blocker than Wicky.
