Do you guys have some information abourt Gerald Riggs? I read a Chat Wrap with Eric Edholm in ESPN.com and when he was asked about GR, this was the answer:

"Riggs must mature and come down to Earth, but he's gifted"

Any idea of why did he said that?

He doesnt have a great work ethnic and takes his talent for granted. Once he realizes that he has to want to be great and work hard to be great... The potential is there as he does have a good amoumt of talent.

Either he is too ****y and arrogant or he runs so fast he can fly.

Who knows why these guys say some of the things they say. They make judgements sometimes and have never even met the player. I wouldnt think too much into it. We will have a good idea what we are getting from him during preseason. Brown will play a little and he will get a lot of time with Morris and Minor.
Go phins

I would really like to see Riggs bust out as a great RB. Seems he just needs to be motivated. By like a great coach and some good money as well as being part of a great team.

Go Dolphins

How many of you would think that he can be the main backup al RB?

I have always liked Riggs, but from what my friends in Knoxville tell me is that he does not always try his hardest. He takes his athletic ability for granted, and thinks he can get by on that alone with out the extra work the great athletes put in.

I know he was injured, but he looked terribly slow the few times I saw him last year.

I believe Riggs had an high ankle sprain that limited his effectivess last year before it forced him to miss the second half of the season. If any of you ever had a high ankle sprain, you know how difficult it is to move on. Nevertheless, he did come in about 15 pounds heavier his senior year than he played at his junior year when he played his best.
