I live out in Oregon and I am a Joey supporter, have been since College at Oregon! Seldom do I get to see the games and I try to listen when some nice board member posts an internet connection that I can get.
Since most of my information is from this message board; I would sure like to know about those danged interceptions of tipped balls! Is Joey that far off that the receivers can't get to the ball? It seems as if at least one half of his interceptions have came from tipped passes? We were always told (in school) that if you could lay your hands on it..CATCH IT!! if not don't feed it to their defense....
I sure would like a couple of opinions on this as I don't get to see the games...thanks...

Joey has made a couple of really poor decisions resulting in INTs, but I repeat that I said a couple. I have to go back and see, but I know that 1 of 2 vs the Pats, 1 of 2 vs the Jets and 1 of 3 the last game were really his fault. 1 of the INTs vs the Pats bounced off Welker's shoulder pad and to the defender. The INT at the Jets was a fluke. The ball bounced of Chambers and then up in the air like 4 times. Then this week, McMike had 2 bounce off his hands into the arms of defenders. I might split the INT returned for a TD this week 75% blame to McMike and 25% to Harrington, If I remember correctly it was a little ahead of Mcmike, no excuse though. But in any case I really feel like it's groundhog day, with balls bouncing off of receivers and getting picked.

He has played okay for a back-up. That is what he should be, Damon Huard, the receivers have been dropping a ton of balls and I can think of 2 picks on Mcmike, one on Chambers and one that was either his mistake or Welker's. That being said Joey has thrown three really bad interceptions as well. Almost all three to the LB who had underneath coverage. He has been an average QB who has been getting below average help.

its really unfortunate for joey that some of the picks he has thrown go down in the stats for him when really its all the reciverse falt, quickly out of my head last week chambers had a tipped ball that was intercepted, and this week mcmike contributed to 2 of joeys 3 picks.....some may just look at the stats and say what they want but ive never seen a wr core contribute so much to interceptions

three ints are all on joey. two are bad breaks where the receiver and the qb are at fault depending on who you speak to and two are solely on the receivers

All qb's throw bad passes, they are lucky db's don't have the best of hands. When you throw the ball 62 times in a game, some bad chit is going to happen. If our recievers hold the damn ball the past two weeks, we win both games........

Passing StatisticsTDaunte Culpepper81-134-929-60.46%.2tds-3intJoey Harrington86-146-912yards-58.96%. 3tds 7ints
well if your one that said c-pep is a bust and sucks you might not want to see these stats it looks like he was playing a little better even hurt

watching him play for the Dolphins I now have a much better understanding why he is the one of the worst Yards per completion quarterbacks of all time.

Joey has definitely had a lot of ints as a result of tipped balls and has been let down by some bad drops but I would caution against blaming just the Wrs. Overall, I am not extremely disapointed with his performance but he does need to improve.
He has made some nice throws but he has also blown some. A few of his picks this season were just horrible. He has also missed some opportunities. There were at least half a dozen throws where he just flat out missed a wide open man. I know alot of people are comparing him with DC, which is natural, but not very fair or relevant. I think it is obvious that when DC is heaklthy enough to play, he should be our starter. There are a lot of people who have been overly crtitical with DC. I understand their frustration at some level, but the bottom line is the guy wasn't ready to play yet. Joey was signed as a backup, and for that he has performed a little below average.

You just forgot to post the sacks bro !!!!
Culpepper fans forget about all the sacks on crucial third down plays. That is the same as an int to me because you end up punting the ball away and it's still a change of possession. What difference is it if you throw a pick forty yards down field or your QB is sacked for a ten yard loss and you end up punting the ball forty yards down field?

The deal is that Cpeper is a stud, but he was not able to move the ball, then there comes harington moving the ball, but he hasn't been capable of scoring... hell we're trapped here

He's not use to the "My bum leg won't let me run away from defenders like I use to" transition yet. I think he needs to realize that he can't run away anymore, once he does that, thinks will clear up. Joey on the other hand, isn't doing great, he isn't doing poorly, but he could do a lot better.

i would rather see daunte sacked 4 times than have joey throw 3 picks a game

i know some are not his fault, 2 against the packers was not his fault even though it was a bad throw randy needs to catch it or bat it down or something

but 2 against the pats were his fault and led to 14 points, the welker one, was inexcusible he had all day long to throw and he threw it way behind welker, welker tried his hardest to catch it

against the jets the one where he threw into triple coverage was horrible and killed a great drive

if that was daunte it would have been his head with joey it was, it was a bad throw but did not hurt us

yet daunte throws a pick against buffalo, a horrible pass that ends up going into half time down 3 and people on these boards were calling for his head

joey is a backup and backup he has played all right he is doing his job, as for a future starter he is not showing anything
