Has a Dolphin head coach ever been given another shot at a full-time NFL head coaching job? I know Sporano had the interm job in Oakland but I can't think of a coach leaving Miami and being deemed good enough for a second chance.

Boles at the Jets....

Also Wanny ran the U of Pitt into the ground.

Wanny and Saban both got college head coaching jobs-- that's it.

Cameron's never getting another NFL head coaching job. And Philbin certainly isn't either. It's not outside the realm of possibility that Sparano may get a head coaching gig again, but I wouldn't bet the house on it.

Shula- retired. JJ- retired. Wannstedt- was head coach at Pitt, but never an NFL head coach again. Saban- Alabama. Cameron- Lmfao. Meatball- Raiders interim. Philbin- Lmfao. Oddly enough, pretty sure Todd Bowles is the only former Dolphin coach to become an NFL head coach elsewhere after leaving the Dolphins. Not sure about George Wilson though...

Can't think of any but Shula was the coach for so long I think that helped, of course before we entered this coaching carousel.

Nope. It's strange to consider but Shula was coach for something like 30 years so it's not like the Dolphins have had a lot of turnover there.

We have been the graveyard of coaches their careers end here. Even Shula. Coveted names like Jimmy Johnson, Nick Saban and Bill Parcells all were done after their Dolphin tour.

Jason Garrett was our qb coach I believe if I remember right

I was responding to this statement:

Right. But we're talking about former Dolphin head coaches who went on to be head coaches of other teams.

I got that but I was responding to the response of Bowles being our only former coach becoming a head coach, someone else pointed out Norv as well in response to that comment as well not response to the original post

I remember a rumor that Shula was offered the Ravens HC job right after his retirement. I can't remember if that was ever confirmed.
