Assuming Quinn is gone and Miami chooses other positions than QB with its top pick(s). Who would be the best QB to draft in rounds 2-7 who would be a good fit for the new offensive scheme. What do you think of Jordan Palmer? Thanks!

RW

The best fits are Kolb and Beck.

Palmer is a turnover machine who can't throw to the right side of the field with any consistency. He's just not the decision maker that Cameron wants in his system.

i am no guru but i think the fins are looking at kolb, stanton and edwards it all depends on who is there when they pick,

Well Im no GURU, but...I like them in this order, Stanton, Edwards, Kolb, and Beck. But NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO to Palmer. Wouldnt even draft him.

Most teams have Stanton and Edwards as the 2nd and 3rd guys. Not sure if Kolb's background as he was part of the Houston system which traditionally does not translate to the NFL. He does have decent mesureables. I agree that Palmer will be a flop. Personally, after Stanton and Edwards, I'd rather wait until next year to try to get a young QB and reinforce the offensive line to protect a young guy when he get's here. I still have my fingers crossed for Quinn!!

If we dont get Brady Quinn (please let use get Brady Quinn and Trent Green ) then we should gey Trent Edwards ( next John Elway )

Easy does it there!!! The next John Elway's team was 1-10 last year. Guy has potential, but Elway may have been the most talented QB ever and had every tool.

Stanton, Edwards and Smith would be the next best three. I personally am not convinced that Quinn is even the second best.

Boomer, what do you think of the Kolb/Kingsbury comparisons? Kingsbury put up ridiculous numbers at Texas Tech, but he was a system guy and is stuck over in NFL Europe now still trying to develop. It makes me worry about taking a guy in the 2nd or 3rd who might need two or three years before being ready to even try to compete for a starting job.

I hope we take Kolb,,,,Edwards would be my 2nd choice.
