Question on Daunte Culpepper.

I have been wondering for awhile if Daunte is placed on IR does his salary count this year. Being that DC looks like he is still not ready and hasnt performed in the offseason program, it is looking more and more like we will Sign Green and Draft a QB. If we dont cut DC can we place him on IR to avoid his salary ?

No we can't. By the way, how do you know he didn't perform in the offseason program? Not trying to be an ***. I sincerely want to know.

Nothing has been reported, being how our Front office is a bit more media friendly you would think we would know something by now.

Wait a minute? Wasn't Monday the first day of volunteer workouts? I did not know he wasn't there.

Culpepper was placed on IR last year and we still had to pay his salary.

I think the only those who are placed on non-football type of reserve do not have their full salary count against the cap.

True, but than it was never reported that he HADN'T attended though.

Cameron has stated on more then one occasion that he sees Culpepper working out everyday when he comes into the office.

I think if we place someone on IR we still have to pay him but it doesnt count against out salary cap for that year
