Question on incentives?

If a new CBA is passed will Miami gain back any of the incentive money that was added to this years cap ( 10 Million) because the cba was running out? That would really increase our available cap room if a new cba is passed.

No.... but current contracts will decrease in cap charge cause Not likely to be earned incentives wont be counted till the end of the year, and only if they are reached.

The debit from last year is un-avoidable. Currently NLTBE incentives for 2006 are counted for 2006.if the CBA is extended they wont be counted unless they are reached during the season.

A new CBA should raise the 2006 salary cap to between $105 million and $110 million. An extension also would cause Frerotte's cap number to drop by roughly $3 million because incentives in his contract wouldn't count against the 2006 cap
