Questioning Becks scrambling abilities...

Scrambling againt Wyoming and NFL caliber athletes are 2 different things, I always find it funny when when people post highlights of draft picks to justify how good they will be when EVERY drafted players has a highlight tape that will make them look like an All-American. That is not a knock on DJRos for posting, alot of people do it but it doesn't prove a thing.
 
Several of those Wyoming Defensive players are now in the NFL, so I would say that it isn't such a reach to use that video. Also, this is from his Junior Year in college. To assume that he hasn't progressed towards being an NFL talent since then could be equally erroneous.
 
For christs sake....get off it already, with the exception of QB's in the NFL who are noted for being "scramblers" it's pretty nonexistant anyway. When is the last time you saw Brady or Manning scramble??? We're only in minicamp and already scrutinizing a player who has been on the team for less than a week! Stop making yourself miserable and see how things play out come August.
 
The little blue band Beck has on his wrist is from BYU. The letters A.D.E are inscribed on it. They stand for Accountability, Discipline and Effort.

Pretty Strong Mantra. I have kept mine on since I got it when I sent my two oldest boys to the BYU summer football camp two years ago.

yeah he wont scramble to much in the pros he has no speed but he has great feet work. which makes up for some of his lack of speed. and honestly i think he is one of those guys who some how becomes faster with pads on.
 
Man thats a great high light video. I love the way Beck moves his feet, and the touch on the one step drop when he through the fade was great.

Cant wait to see him start against the Giants at Wembly

I don't care if he can scramble or not. If he can read defenses, move around in the pocket, and wing the ball down field, then I'm all for that.

I don't want another running QB running this team. We had enough of that with DC getting sacked 21 times in four games.

well manning did have that 5 yd run for a TD agianst us....

Wyoming had the 6th ranked defense at the time of that game.. They also have a few players that are in the NFL from that team.. And some that are considered to be high round picks next year..

Who cares if they had the 6th ranked Defense? they acheived that playing against mostly bad teams and a few NFL players is great but what about the other 7-8 who weren't NFL players? Stop w/ the rationalizing, it was against freakin' Wyoming! If he ca't look good against Wyoming how could he ever look good in the NFL? The difference in size, speed andstrength is HUGE going from NFL factories like OSU and Florida- how big of a difference to you think it is from Wyoming? Thing logically on this one.
