I have a couple of questions for everyone.....spurred by all the negative comments on everything the Dolphins are doing...

How many on here have experience in an NFL front office or as an NFL GM?

Who knows EXACTLY what has been said/discussed in the meetings with the GM candidates?

Who on here REALLY knows what is going to happen in the future re: our new GM?

I know I couldn't say yes to any of these questions, and probably most (and most likely no one else) can truthfully say yes either.

but it really seems like most people on here can say yes to all these questions...

I come to this site to get information on the Dolphins, but it is getting ridiculous with just about everyone being so negative its not worth it to get on here anymore......

Here's the only question that matters:

Why did Nick Caserio, Brian Xanders, Ray Farmer, Lake Dawson, Marc Ross, Tom Gamble, Scott McCloughlan, and Jason Licht all turn down the job?

There's a reason that the only guy we managed to hire was going to be fired after the draft by his current employer.

One does not need to have experience to know what was going on here. Ross was turned down by how many, 4, 5 candidates? In this scenario, perception IS reality...

You will not be missed.

Wanny, all those people turned down the job because in 2015 they might be unemployed, or might not have enough say in the new head coach that's hired. I suppose we all knew this in our hearts from day one, when the real gm candidates wouldn't even take an interview. It was out of respect for Ross, because why come here and jerk him around like Caserio did? Those guys have more respect than that.

As far as Caserio is concerned, he's garbage for what he did. I suppose it was worth it to him to get his little raise in New England, but he's still just Belichick's do-boy. That's why he was the lowest paid at his job, because anybody can do that.

The most respected guy that was a finalist but he was garbage because he turned us down. How come the media that speculates the reason he interviewed is right about this but constantly wrong about us

I honestly think Caserio probably was legitimately interested in the job until he found out that someone with no personnel evaluation experience was going to be his boss and have the authority to veto his picks.

Could you imagine gamble, Xanders or licht being told in an interview that aponte was their boss and had final say? They would bust out laughing. Ross is a fool

Perhaps the candidates all just wanted to come to Miami for a few days and get away from the frozen **** tundra they currently live in.

Seriously though they were probably intrigued with the opportunity and even flattered and wanted to see what the team was offering but after interviewing they just found the offer not suitable.

What is interesting is that some of them interviewed more than once before declining.

Something most certainly smells at Fish headquarters and it looks like it starts with the big fish-head himself..

He was garbage because of his motives. He wanted leverage and everyone in Boston was saying that. They were even going so far to say that Belichick might have even encouraged it, so they can go back to Kraft and get his raise. And yes, he was probably the best of the last of what we had to choose from, but that's not saying much.

Really. How does this question matter?

He is not garbage. He did burn bridges, and I expect it is not just the dolphins where he burned those bridges.
