This one should have been a blowout up 31-14, but with an offensive line that struggled to run block have to feel good coming away with a win against any team.
Loved the way Ryan Tannehill played. I've only seen three Dolphin games this year, the opener at Seattle, the awful game against the Bengals and this one. Tannehill has improved a lot in terms of his movement in the pocket. Honestly, this was a near perfect game for him, great placement on throws, good decisions, made some plays with his feet.
That said, I think he needs to slide rather than fighting for those extra yards or two and taking unnecessary hits. We know he's tough, but staying healthy and on the field is more important.
Hated the offensive series after the Kenyon Drake return. Seems to me, Tannehill might have had enough time to get rid of that pass on third down and preserve a field goal try. That could have been huge if overtime was forced.
I understand Adam Gase trying to seal the victory with the passing game. Tannehill was playing great, virtually every receiver was winning their battles, so it made sense especially considering the offensive line struggled to open holes in the running game.
Have to give the offensive line kudos, though, for winning in the passing game and giving Tannehill time to throw the football. That was the difference in the game.
Hated the late defensive calls, which put Cam Wake and N. Suh in coverage. I want both of those guys rushing the passer.
Badly want to see the team re-sign Kiko Alonso. What a player!
Miami badly needs their offensive line starters back. We won't win with the same game against Baltimore.
Thrilled and excited to be sitting at 7-4 and with a realistic playoff chance as November turns to December. When was the last time the team had a chance this late in the year?
