Saw on NFLN ticker that CB Will Poole was just signed by the Chiefs. I know a lot of Phin fans had high hopes for him prior to his injuries. Hopefully our decision not to wait for him to be completely healthy won't come back to bite us. He had skillz.

Interesting system they have going on over there. Do they run the Cover Two press man? Between Brandon Flowers, Pat Surtain, and Will Poole, it certainly seems to be the pattern they're following over there...reproducing basically the kind of corners Miami had under Johnson and Wannstedt.

we waited for him to get healthy for a while. didn't we draft him in 2004? that's a long time to wait. we drafted crowder in 2005, he's been healthy and had nearly 300 tackles since then, and many want him gone. we tried with poole.

They must have had an extra spot open on their IR list that they needed to fill! =)

:rolleyes2:

Some of you guys should really grow up. Will Poole is a class act. He had a very promising career ahead of him before blowing out his knee. I wish him the best of luck with his return.

i tend to find it funny how all this so called "fin fans" for one, dont even remmeber who will poole is, or two, dont remember him playing for us....a true fan would remember a sunday game when he was a rookie....i cant rememeber which one it was, but i think it was surtain was hurt so poole got a start at corner on sunday night football against the bengals.....he held chad johnson to like 1 catch for 6 yards....johnsons only other catch in the game came against a zone coverage....so ya i guess all u non fans can try to rip that game and still say the guy has no skills....ya right, he blew out his name and saben didnt want to wait for him so he cut him...he was on the cheifs roster last year so they didnt resign him for nothing.....

Their moving to cover two, their building their defense similar to the buccaneers D of 2002, thats one reason Dorsey is been compared to Sapp a lot more.

Ok, I will grow up "smoke" Thanks for reminding me that the internets is all about being serious all the time and not just for fun.:shakeno:
Oh and maybe he is a stand up guy, best wishes to him (we'll overlook the DUI conviction), but it was just a small joke at how everyone went on and on about him on the boards, but he only played in how many games for us? Insert Joe Toledo etc.

Man, one of the FEW things to get excited about Saban's first year was Will Poole potentially being the starting CB for us . . . many people point to that Cincy game . . . . what could have been . . . . kid had talent but just can't stay healthy.

The IR jokes DO apply to him . . .

Why not just "He deserves a chance and I hope he's doing well there."?

totally agree, peope are so quick to judge, with the dolphins luck he'll turn into a pro bowl corner

Will Poole eventually will get on the field and although i think he will never be more than a Nickel corner he will prove to be an asset for someone.
