Put it this way: The biggest news at camp on a busy today wasn't when Miami took a significant salary-cap hit ($4.5 million) by terminating the contract of wide receiver-turned-tight end Ernest Wilford, who was a bust as a free-agent signee last season.
Nope.
The biggest news was when the Dolphins traded offensive linemen Andy Alleman and Ikechuku Ndukwe to Kansas City for an undisclosed 2010 draft pick.
Get 'em outta here!
Next!
And these were two guys who were starters last season, albeit in emergency roles, right through Miami's one-game playoff appearance.
Alleman started the last five games at left guard in place of injured Justin Smiley, and Ndukwe started every game at right guard after Donald Thomas went down in the season-opener.
And now they're judged to be not good enough even to make it to the September cuts?
The clear message out of Dolphins Inc. - and this is good news for the Miami faithful - is that the boss, the general manager and the head coach think this season's roster composition is going to be appreciably better than the one with which they went 11-5 and qualified for post-season competition last season.

You know, it's a bit like when I go shopping for either clothes or furniture. When I go, if I don't like what I see, I quickly move on. What's the point of lingering over something that I don't like? If I didn't like it before, why would I stare at it any longer hoping I'll like it at some point?

These two players are indeed good—NFL good. But Bill, Jeff and Tony saw what they can do and how far the team went with them. And it wasn't far enough. I wish them both the best of luck and thank them for the efforts here.

It's a move that makes sense. Obviously, there are guys here that we like just as much or better, making them expendable. Getting something for them while giving those guys a chance at getting in with another team is a win for all parties involved.

so who are going to be the back up o line

It feels weird to have people that actually know what they are doing run the team
