Hi All,
Just wanted to update all of you on Aileen and my adoption process.
For those premies that still don't know, my wife (Aileen) and myself are adopting a newborn. We filled out the application and were told that it would be 9 to 12 months. This was July of 2006. The social worker told us that it would be closer to 9 months. I called a couple weks ago to "touch base" and they told me that it looks like it might be 12 to 18 months now. This means July to December instead of our previous thoughts of March to July.
At least we will have a little more time to prepare. Still kinda bummed though. Please keep us in your prayers, happy thoughts or what have you.

One more thing, please don't let this go beyond this forum. Thanks.
Raul

Good Luck Rev. They always say, the best things come to those who wait.

Brother Raul, that is great news! More time for you to take care of that Honey Do list. Time flys bro, and before you know it, it will be that time you have been long awaiting for.:D

Good Luck, I have two daughters, best thing in the world, Fatherhood. My oldest just turned 15, she is the one in my sig.

Wow, Raul. It looks like your prayers may soon be answered. I can't tell you how happy I am for you and Aileen.

Hang in there Raul. I'm sure you must be dying to get this done, but a year from now you won't even remember the wait. Then you'll be trying to remember the times you had before your baby.

Raul, that is excellente! The wait will be worth it, they are a hell of a life changer so if there is any trips you want to take or skydiving type thing do it now. Cause it will be quite a few years till your life is almost back to normal.

Though I wouldn't want it any other way, kids are awesome, being a dad is amazing.

good luck rev.,i hope everything goes real smooth for you and your family..

God bless you Raul. I'm still praying for you and your darling Aileen that you soon will have a wonderful little bundle of joy. I'm sure it's hard to have to wait a little longer, but I promise you, it will be worth the wait. You know my number if you ever need an ear.

Your friend,

Mary

Mary, you are back :woot: how are you doing luv??????

As everyone can probably understand, more than frustrating to have been offline for so long - those darn phone companies. I threatened, cajoled, pleaded, everything I could to pull some strings. What did they do? Push it back to January 29th.

So, I'm now on a dial up connection through my house, waiting for DSL to be installed.

Thanks, everyone, for asking about me and being concerned. We're all well, but cold.
