While it's nice to be able to turn on the TV and see them talking about Miami, rather than getting a 2s clip at the end of their roundup, where they're busy talking about Darnold (it was Miami who won right??!!), I'm happy to just keep flying under the radar and keep winning.

It would be great to see some respect / recognition, but we don't need a 'superstar', a 'media darling', a big mouth or a 'flavour of the month' storyline. Just keep winning and soon EVERYONE will start to take notice.

The team is playing winning football right now. Yes, they don't help the blood pressure at times, but in the 2 games so far, at big moments they are making the big plays and every unit is contributing...

Week 1
D shut down Tennessee and forced turnovers
O produced a big play down the stretch
Special teams got a TD

Week 2
D shut down the Jest's run and forced turnovers
O scored TDs off those turnovers and closed the game out with a 5min+ drive, converting 3rd down after 3rd down
Special teams kept NY pinned inside their half for most of the game

As much as it didn't feel like it at times, the fins have been in complete control in both games so far. Miami has only trailed for the 1st quarter of the 1st game and once they have gotten the lead, they have never given it back.

I hope they can keep getting better and in the meantime I'll just get my dolphins fix listening to all the great podcasts our there...3ypc, locked on dolphins, dolphins talk, perfectville (sorry for the ones I've left out, too many to mention) ...big ups guys, you all do such a great job and help me get from Sunday to Sunday without withdrawal symptoms! Lol

I don't mean to be a hater, but stepping back and looking at it we only beat the Jets and the Titans, not exactly world class teams here. Next is the Raiders. Combined between the three of them they may have 2 wins after this week and 1 of those wins was against Houston (winless). None of these teams are even going to be in playoff contention soon.

We really haven't seen a test of talent yet, just a bunch of scrimmages. Fortunately it is exactly the kind of schedule we needed to start the year with a new group and they are meshing well together.

Dont get me wrong, I do think this team could bring some fire this year (and more next) but I think some people are getting quite a bit ahead of themselves at the moment without seeing an opponent of playoff caliber.

If we win week 4, things will be different and hopefully then we will start seeing some clips of Dolphin potential on Sportscenter.

The Jets have talent on D ....The Titans have a the type of QB that always give us fits and a strong running game which normally gives us huge problems...up until the end we held that running game in check...those 2 games we would have lost last year...

I'm excited as hell about the Dolphins and I love the fact that the national media have not caught on yet. Adam Gase is building something special in Miami, it's just taking time for all the pieces to come together but I believe we're getting there. It will hit the media how good we are soon and then we'll see all the 'analysts' jump on the Gase bandwagon.

My bold prediction in the off season was we'll go 11-5 and I had friends laugh at me for that prediction. One of my friends agreed with all them ESPN and SI articles and thought the Dolphins would go like 2-14.

You're right to have that perspective. In past years we've seen the team do well and then as soon as they get some notice, lay an egg.

I have hope this year that won't happen, however and that is because of how they are winning. Even Rich Gannon at the end of the Jets game said what he was impressed about was not the 2-0 record, but how the team has got there.

Hoping that continues and improves as they polish things up.

It's so hard to judge where things are with only 2 weeks of action...

If you compare Miami to Cin... Miami has beaten Titans and Jets, while Cin has beaten Colts and Ravens. Are the Colts better than the Titans? Idk. The Ravens trounced the Bills who are Poor, while the Jets trounced the Lions who are also poor. Are the Ravens better than the Jets? Maybe, God knows! We won't know until a few more weeks in. However in someone like Steve Smith's mind, Cin is the real deal, but Miami a fake 2-0 team....

I don’t understand this need for respect. I just want to see an improved roster and win some games. I could give a flying fart about what the media thinks. This isn’t the BCS.

It's not really about respect (not for me anyway), it's about the consequence of respect / relevance. I'd like to be able to turn on the TV after a win and see some fins highlights, rather than a 2s clip right at the end of the show, which is a Darnold int

They do look good through two games, but all the old farts around here have seen this before many, many times.

Tell me about it...I remember so many great Septembers only to limp to the finish line either out of the playoffs or 1 and done as a wild card! The one that hurt the most was under Wansteadt when we beat the Raiders to go 9-2 I think, becoming the #1 seed in the AFC, only to inexplicably end up 10-6 and not even make the playoffs!
