Quincy Carter?

No one got hurt that season in wash. He BEAT OUT heath shuler (bust!!!) and he beat out trent green who was a project at the time.

I was talking about filling in for legit pro bowlers who were hurt.

The pro Bowl is a joke, Chad was the 2nd bst QB in the league in '02(behind gannon) and he didn't make it. All-Pro is where it really counts, they don't make the same mistakes as the pro bowl teams.

chad has never had the 2nd best numbers in the league regardless of what year you talk about! he manages the game well but has never put up numbers like manning, brady, green, etc.

Never was a fan of Quincy Carter. I don't think he can read defenses, or adjust to 2nd and 3rd reads very well. If the first play is there he's pretty good and he has a strong arm, but he's just another guy with some potential IMO.

Who was hurt that season that was supposed to go? If i remember washington made the playoffs unexpectedly that year because Gus managed the game well.

He took a team that was 1-4, 2-5 and guided them to the AFC east title. he led the Jets into NE on a Sunday Night and we beat up the Pats(the last team to win at NE), he badly outpkayed Brett Favre the next week and then Peyton Manning the week after that. Oh by the way he led the NFL in passing, he definitely deserved to be a pro bowler and was w/o question the 2nd best QB after gannon.

I don't recall who was hurt but 2 guys got hurt before Gus was named, I think it was Aikman & young but I am not 100% sure. His #s were not great he threw for 12 Tds and 11 INts while completing under 60% of his passes. Wash did have one of their few winning recods(9-7) but they did not make the playoffs.

he has played in 2 playoff games and has led his offnse to a total of 10 points in those games. He threw 1 TD in a '99 blowout loss to Wash as a member of the Lions and was crushed by Bal as a bronco in 2000. Both years he was an injury replacement for the starter.

considering his rumored drug of choice, i don't think carter would be a good fit in miami.

I can believe Young, he was always hurt but that was before Aikmans inj problems started so i doubt he was one of them. That pro bowl year want even his best season. Also, dont forget that during his prime years we havent seen what he can do since he was a backup for many of those years.

Playoff stats has little to do with anything. Ive never once said Frerotte was going to lead us to the promised land. I have said Frerotte understands this system and has played well in it in the past. Thats far more relevant since we'll need him to play within this offense if we're going to even sniff the postseason. We'll worry about how bad hes been in the postseason if and when miami gets there.

I think Frerrotte is a good backup to have have but he's not a starter and your problem is he is better than your starter.
