Quinn Johnson (LSU) has been one of the best lead blockers in the nation for the past three years, a talent he showcased on Saturday night. Johnson was responsible for a number of blocks during South touchdown drives, which sprung ball carriers free for large gains. Johnson also displayed skill handling the ball, something he was rarely asked to do at LSU. He had a pair of important receptions during the South's first touchdown drive, then carried the ball into the end zone for the second score. Adding another dimension to his game will only enhance Johnson's value as he only carried the ball 16 times in college and caught just four passes.

I wonder where he will go, he could be a nice part of our plans to run between the tackles

doubt he lands here with the way polite performed for us last season.

I love the guy though, he was all over the place last night. can block, catch, run.
big powerful dude.

i like polite too.... but we also jsut need other positions a lot more.

Not sure where he is projected to get drafted, but the guy was impressive last night. If I had to guess I would say 4th to 5th round only because he only runs the 40yd dash in the 4.9 range. But the rest of his game tells me he may be a late 3rd rounder.

I like Lou Polite as well, but he isn't as effective as a lead blocker as he is a short yardage back. I would take a look at some of the FB's in this draft.

Polite is a good runner for what he has to do. he isnt the prototypical big blocking FB that Parcels normally looks for. i think Polite could be upgraded, but i dont think he needs to be, and with all of our needs i think he stays and FB isnt a concern this year, unless UDFA or late round find for ST and depth
