there are only 2 faults for our 1-5 record. nick saban's for hiring mike mularkey, and mike mularkey's for being mike mularkey.

we had an identity on offense last year and scored 20+ points 10 times with 72 rated gus frerotte as our qb. we won 9 of those games.

the defense is fine. you guys expect perfection. do you watch any other nfl games? our defense not only keeps us in the game but gives us a great chance to win. they are easily in the top half of the league.

saban commented after the jets game that the spread offense seems to be what we do best and we should start it from the get-go next week. props to nick for finally realizing after 2 1/2 months that this team does not need darian barnes and justin peele on the field like mike mularkey thinks it does. 3 wr, 1 te, 1 rb. that's our best personnel package and should be our identity. the problem is mularkey is a square peg round hole guy and only knows 1 way of doing things, so each week we are trying to figure out ways to score (hb pass, anyone?) instead of doing what we do best (our identity) and making defenses try to figure out how to stop us.

so quit blaming the secondary. the D is giving up 17 ppg this year despite being put in bad positions by turnovers from the offense, and being on the field for more than 31 minutes per game because the offense can sustain drives.

quit blaming the wrs for drops. the reason they are magnified is because they come when we are trailing, and we're always trailing. they are critical because mularkey's offense creates limited opportunity.

quit blaming the o line. they are consistently put in position to fail by predictable play calling and 3rd and long.

and quit blaming mare. yeah, we're all pissed about it, but it was a 51 yard fg in less than ideal conditions.

The players are atleast 50% to blame. They are the one who has to execute the plays. They are the ones who drop passes, throw interceptions, fumble the ball, blow coverages, miss tackles and miss field goals.

Why is that such a hard concept for some to understand?

There are many problems with this team.
Players ( some much more than others) and coaches (some much more than others) are to blame.
Problems on all fronts.

"Stop blaming the players" :sidelol:

Man, if only Mike Mularkey could hold onto the ball.

The team as a whole is the problem. But I have no doubt Saban will look for a new OC this offseason.

i agree mularkey is terrible and needs to go now. but how can you not blame some of the players? mcmicheal was complaining about not being used enough and then proceeds to drop the passes they do throw to him, yesterday for a touchdown. kind of hard not to blame the players for things like that.

lol...last time i checked nick saban didnt fumble the football. yes the coaching is bad but some of the players on our team are terrible. how is tavares tillman in the nfl? he looked like he was in high school yesterday.

Hmm..interesting...I've always said blame the players not the coaches. The coaches have a game plan - it's up to the players to follow them and execute.

I disagree. I blame the coaching staff and 24 offensive players. THe defense has been great and the one offensive guy that has been great is Wes Welker. Everyone else needs to step up.

Man I agree too Mularky sucks as a coordinator, but thats what he does is cordinate and call plays, the players still have to make them work thats what they get paid to do, and as far as the defense goes yeah they are on the field alot, but they also shouldnt be given up 80 yard plays to a tight end, or any reciever, the front four and our lb core is solid, but the scondary is weak, and as for Mare, his time is done, hes like the alex rodriguez for field goal kickers, he was great now he stinks, lets face it and move on....okay let me say why because when he came he was awesome and clutch, but 51 is far, but if thats what you get paid for and are called in the game for, we expect you to make those, I know i cant make it, probaly from 25 yards i wont make, but field goals arent my job there mare's job, and its devasting to see the ball go wide right or left, or as in yesterdays situation didnt even make the uprights....so disappointing especially when he comes on and my uncles are like great here we go overtime, and i was like are you kidding look whos kicking, its over and sure enough....

I think more than anything else this team is just going to take time to get better. The best example I can pull out is the Detroit Tigers. There were a team that almost set the record 2 years ago for the most losses, yet they are in the world series now. The Dolphins are a team that seem similair that way to me.

I think Mularky is terrible. I doubt he knows how to win a game. But besides that, the Dolphins have got what it takes to become a great team. We went out and got a quarterback that was injured, barely practiced him with a team of rookie recievers (few veterans) and expected him to come in throwing 400 yards and 4 touchdowns a game. After the first loss, the Dolphin's fans were in an uproar over a quarterback that we expected too much from.

So now we have a quarterback that doubts himself physically and mentally. Non-the-less, we have a growing team that can really only improve. I have an feeling that they will come out really strong against Green Bay, playing for the first time like they have somehting to prove.

I Wish We Could Start The Season Over With Another Offensive Coordinator To See How Differnt It Would Be ...

Never seen Mularky (who I agree has to go) drop a pass, get caught holding, or throw an interception. Never seen Saban or Capers get beat on a long pass play, or get called for PI. Do the coaches deserve some of the blame? Hell yes, but no more than the players who fail to execute what they get paid millions to do in a game.
