All the injuries. D looks lost. Good on Godchaux, bad on Phillips. God save the O line. Can't buy a linebacker....

And yet, I think we'll light it up this year.

Cutler didn't need our 10 mil. And we are not regarded as a serious Super Bowl contenders. So why come back to take a pounding for some cut rate team with a lousy line and a couple of good receivers?

I think there just might be more to this team than Gase (for President) allows us to see.

I'm not saying we're gonna take it all. But I think these guys will do a fine job while the other fellows mend.

And I think those injured guys will be gnawing on their livers because they can't play.

We shall soon see......

I usually try not to quote myself but this is what I posted this time around last year and except for the QB still walking upright and maybe the comment on the receivers, I wouldn't be surprised to see it go down like this. Again.

While I believe that Adam Gase is a good coach and I enjoy reading all these positives out of camp, I cannot ignore the practice and scrimmage reports and this has a feel of 2015 all over again: once the real bullets fly, the defensive line becomes invisible, the offensive line has been invisible for years now, receivers can't get separation, special teams will commit the stupidest penalties that you can think of, the defense gifts the Geno Smiths and Tyrod Taylors of this world hall-of-fame performances and we will blame it all on the QB who, for reasons that are beyond me, is still walking upright. At least there is one thing that we clearly improved on this year: coaching.

(Disclaimer: this is an opinion.)

Cutler saw his favorite coach lose his new general.. he knows it probably wont be pretty but he wants to go out swinging with his coach..
the pickens were slim fellas

Huh?...We got lucky landing a QB of that caliber who already knew our offense for no trade compensation.

Minnesota had to spend a 1st round pick to replace their QB with one of a similar caliber.

Please no slow, lackluster starts, constant 3 and outs and giving up 3rd and 15's all the time.
Just sucks the life out of everything.

I agree. I do believe the team will be better than expected.

There should be at least some improvement on the defensive side with the additions of Timmons, Harris, Godshaux and others. If Godshaux continues his play into the season that could be huge for Suh and the run defense.

On offense, I think Miami will rely even more heavily on the run even with questions on the offensive line. Lets hope Pouncey stays relatively healthy. While Cutler is a step down from Tannehill, he has more talent at the skill positions than he's ever had with Landry, Ajayi, Parker and Stills.

I'd say the Dolphins win around 9 games.

Lets see if Cutler is a stepdown from Tannehill. I think he might surprise us. I think the key on offense will be a healthy and improved Ajayi. He is a TOP 5 at his position. Also we need a better Parker and that big red zone target in Thomas to be healthy and ready. On defense we need to pray for a full year of Wake, Jones and Alonso. The player that can make all the difference is the underrated Hayes, he is so good against the run that running at his side will be the equivalent of throwing at a shutdown corner

I agree, and though unlike Minnesota, Miami was not able to get a similar or better caliber QB, I think Cutler could still have a huge season if he continues to play smart.

Ya dude Hayes is going to be huge for us this year. As big and strong as he is, I read he ran a 4.59!! That's insanely fast. He's so underrated it's crazy. He's going to be big time in stopping the run while letting Cam preserve his energy to get the QB...Steal of the offseason IMO
